Councillor Biographies

Nick Drew

Having lived in the village as a child I returned to West Dereham with my own family some 14 years ago. Together with my brother I help run a family business which has been established here for over 40 years. My interests include walking, cycling and I am keen to support the community and the parish council wherever possible.

Keith Gore

I was born in The Row, West Dereham in 1948. I have lived in the village all my life, moving to Bath Springs smallholding in 1951. I was educated at West Dereham Village School. On leaving school I worked for agricultural contractors and for a time at Wissington sugar beet factory. I’m now retired, working on my smallholding growing potatoes and vegetables.

Andy Challen

I moved into the village in 2017 having lived in Downham Market and at RAF Marham on and off from 1997. I served in the RAF for 24 years, worked in London for Deloitte for over 3 years, and now work mostly from home for a defence company.  I am a Trustee of the West Dereham Village Hall Charity and chair the Village Hall Management Committee.

Angela Caley

I moved to West Dereham in 2019 with my husband and three children. Prior to this, we had lived in Shouldham for 9 years, where I served as a Parish Councillor for 4 of those years. My background is in Youth and Community Work, having worked in various settings over the years. I now work from home for a small Christian charity called ‘Linking Lives UK’. In my spare time I enjoy playing with the Downham Market Swing Orchestra.
