Temporary Road Closure Notices

EMERGENCY ROAD CLOSURES

In accordance with the provisions of Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Norfolk County Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that owing to a burst water main the use by vehicles of the Boughton Road from 100m south of its junction with High Street for 30m southwards in the PARISH OF FINCHAM will be temporarily prohibited from 16th to 22nd May 2023 for the duration of the works, expected to be about 7 days within the period.

This Notice has a maximum duration of 21 days. Where exceptional circumstances are encountered during the performance of the works specified in this Notice, the operational period of this Notice may become extended by issuing an Order or further Notice to allow completion of the works for a maximum duration of 18 months.

Alternative route is via: Boughton Road, High Street, Downham Road, Lynn Road, Gibbet Lane, Fincham Road (Wereham, West Dereham, Fincham, Stradsett).


LOCAL PLANNED ROAD CLOSURES

NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL proposes to make a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (WTRO4013) affecting the Gibbet Lane from its junction with A134 Lynn Road for 20m eastwards in the PARISH OF WEREHAM to facilitate Anglian Water meter exchange works.

The road will be temporarily closed (except for access) on 2nd June 2023 for the duration of the works expected to be about 1 day within the period.

Alternative route is via: Gibbet Lane, Lynn Road, Church Road, St Margaret’s Hill, School Lane, Cavenham Road (Wereham, West Dereham).


NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL proposes to make a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (WTRO4081) affecting the A10 Eastern Bypass from its junction with the A10 Lynn Road Roundabout for 68m southwards in the TOWN OF DOWNHAM MARKET to facilitate Norfolk County Council surfacing works.

The road will be temporarily closed (except for access) between 19:00 on 30th and 06:00 on 31st May 2023, only while signs indicating the closure are in place, for the duration of the works expected to be about 10 hours within the period.

Alternative route is via: Eastern Bypass (A10), Bexwell Road, Downham Road, Lynn Road, Wereham Bypass, College Road, Decoy Road, Feltwell Road, Southery Bypass (A10), Lynn Road (A10), Main Road, Fordham Bypass (A10). (Southery, Downham Market, Crimplesham, Wereham, Methwold, West Dereham, Ryston Fordham, Hilgay Stradsett, Denver).


NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL proposes to make a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (WTRO4065) affecting The Row from 100m east of its junction with Ryston Road for 100m northwards in the PARISH OF WEST DEREHAM to facilitate BT underground works.

The road will be temporarily closed (except for access) between 08:00 and 18:00 on 15th May 2023 for the duration of the works expected to be about 10 hours within the period.

Alternative route is via: Ryston Road, Hilgay Road, Church Road, The Row.


NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL proposes to make a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (WTRO3793) affecting the Ryston Road from its junction with Bexwell Lane for 200m eastwards in the PARISH OF RYSTON to facilitate Anglian Water site access works.

This Order continues the provisions of the Order dated 13th April 2023 that the road will be temporarily closed (except for access) and the restriction will now continue in effect from 6th to 15th May 2023 (previously 17th April to 5th May 2023) for the duration of the works expected to be about 10 days within the period.

Alternative route is via: Ryston Road, Downham Road, The Row, Lime Kiln Road, Lynn Road, Bexwell Road, A10 Downham – Eastern Bypass, A10 Lynn Road (Wimbotsham, West Dereham, Stradsett, Downham Market, Ryston, Denver, Crimplesham).
